The Turn Against Israel
Barack Obama began the first week of June with a series of interviews on the eve of his journey to Cairo to deliver his address to the
“Muslim world.” In all of them, he spoke of the Israeli-Palestinian situation and the central importance of resolving it as part of his aim of beginning
anew with the Arab and Muslim nations that have grown so disenchanted with the United States. To National Public Radio, the President made a point of invoking
the ties that bind America to Israel and the “special relationship” between the two nations before asserting that part of being a good friend is being honest.
And I think there have been times where we are not as honest as we should be about the fact that the current direction, the current trajectory, in the region
is profoundly negative, not only for Israeli interests but also U.S. interests. And that’s part of a new dialogue that I’d like to see encouraged in the region.

US Political and Economic Turmoil Could Be Propehtically Related to Treatment of Israel
God tells Abram in Genesis 12:2-3,

throughout not only the texts of the Bible, but also through the texts of historical accounts written by many across the ages. From the empire of Babylon to the
Roman Empire to Nazi Germany, those who blessed Israel and its people were blessed and those who cursed them were cursed.

The Jerusalem municipality may offer to voluntarily relocate some 1,500 Palestinian residents of the city's Silwan neighborhood - currently living on top of an archaeological site - to alternative lots in East Jerusalem. The 88 houses at issue were constructed without permits in the Al-Bustan area of Silwan and are slated for demolition. They stand in an area known as the King's Garden, defined as being of great archaeological importance by the Israel Antiquities Authority. Thus far, the residents unanimously refuse the offer.

WASHINGTON DC CELEBRATES RAMADAN - A massive Islamic prayer service will be held on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. at the end of this month – and 50,000 Muslims are expected to take part. For a few hours on Sept. 25, the site where U.S. presidents are traditionally inaugurated, will essentially be turned into a giant outdoor mosque. The Jummah service – weekly Friday prayers – will “echo off of the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument and other great edifices that surround Capitol Hill,” according to the organizers.
MESSIANICS NOT JEWISH? - Friends, on December 25, 1989 the Supreme Court of Israel ruled that if a Jew believes in Yeshua he or she loses his (or her) automatic right to citizenship. The riot in Beer Sheva that gave cause for the current court case happened on December 24th. By law the Judge is required to render his decision by December 23rd. (It could be sooner).
OBAMA'S PLAN FOR ISRAEL - The Middle East peace plan that United States President Barack Obama will unveil soon involves the creation of a Palestinian Authority state by 2011 and the transfer of Islamic holy sites in Jerusalem [presumably including the Temple Mount to Arab-Muslim sovereignty, Saudi newspaper Al-Ukaz has learned.
CHILDREN TRAINING CAMPS - Hamas has embarked on a massive campaign this summer to woo Gazan children away from UNWRA (United Nations Works and Relief Association) summer camps to its own camps. At Hamas summer camps, kids learned to wage war against Israel and were indoctrinated with Islamic ideology.
SHARIAH (ISLAMIC) LAW IMPOSED ON CHRISTIANS - Gaza took another step towards strict Islamic law this week with the imposition of new dress codes on schoolgirls. Girls were told that they must wear jilbab, traditional Islamic sleeved robes, and cover their hair, or they would not be allowed to class. The new rules are being enforced on the Christian minority as well, despite the fact that Christians are generally considered exempt from following Islamic law.
GERMANY & IRAN? - On the eve of Prime Minister Netanyahu’s visit to Germany, embarrassing figures have emerged about Germany and Iran. While German chancellor Angela Merkel has spoken out against economic ties with Iran, statistics show that Germany has become Iran's largest trading partner. Germany's Federal Office has released data showing exports to Iran increased 10 percent in 2008. Germany's exports to Iran reached $6 billion in 2008, close to the record it set in 2004 and 2005.
MORE ROCKETS COMING FROM GAZA AND PA - Palestinian Authority terrorists in northern Gaza fired a mortar shell at a kibbutz in the Negev region. No one was injured in the attack.
BIGGEST OIL FIND IN ISRAEL - The Tamar gas field, 50 miles off the Haifa coast, keeps getting bigger with every report, and the gas discovery now is estimated to be the world’s largest in 18 months. The Scotland-based Wood Mackenzie research and consulting firm assessed the value of the field at $8 billion, approximately double that of local analysts. The latest upside projection comes less than two weeks after another revised estimate that the reserves are 16 percent higher than previously thought.
TEMPLE DENIED...AGAIN - Once again, the Palestinian Authority denies that the Holy Temple ever existed – despite a Waqf pamphlet from 1925 boasting proudly that the Temple Mount once housed Solomon's Temple.
US MONEY GOES TO PA TERRORISTS IN ISRAELI PRISONS - The Palestinian Authority has voted to allocate one million shekels – more than $250,000 – for presents for terrorists imprisoned in Israel. The money will be distributed in honor of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. The gifts were announced at a time when PA leaders say they are facing a severe budget crisis, and have turned to international backers to provide funds.
