All gay all the time
A Martian who visited modern America today might well think that half the population was homosexual -- and the other half wished it were. This is bizarre, especially when you look at the actual statistics which show that as few as two percent of the general population identify themselves as "gay."
Writing last month in USA Today, conservative radio host Michael Medved noted: "UCLA's Williams Institute on Sexual Orientation Law and Public Policy offered a new estimate of homosexual identification: concluding that 1.7% of Americans say they're gay, and a slightly larger group (1.8%) identified as bisexual...."
Despite the small numbers (and Medved cites a different study that puts the number at only 1.4 percent), this issue seems front and center everywhere. Read full article

Closets and Christians
CNN host Don Lemon recently became the latest in a string of high-profile individuals to "come out of the closet" and inform everyone who would listen that he enjoys practicing homosexuality. Every time this occurs, and we are treated to the seemingly endless litany of interviews that applaud the recently outed individual's courage and fortitude, I'm left scratching my head. It' Not About Equal Rights
The argument sounds plausible enough,"we just want to have the same rights as anyone else." And denying another human being the most basic of civil rights isn't something that most people would want to be known for. Discrimination and bigotry, while having an unfortunate history in our country, are nonetheless attitudes that are typically shunned by society.
But while the Gay and Lesbian Community, together with their liberal sympathizers bring up these issues in their ongoing battle for same sex marriage,
It has nothing to do with any of these. As their lifestyle is being glamorized in Hollywood, and parades are organized as a means of displaying their "liberation" with "pride", the courts, the schools,
and even the churches are coerced into granting special rights all in the name of fairness. It has nothing to do with equal rights and everything to do with justification and acceptance
of a lifestyle that has always been considered deviant and that deep-down they know is wrong.

Homosexuals Not So 'gay' In California
Americans who believe in traditional moral values like the right to life and one-man-one-woman marriage suffered a disappointing loss with the
election of Barack Hussein Obama as president of the United States. The most liberal, pro-abortion president in our history, Obama also supports civil unions

the failure of a law requiring parental notification for an abortion by a minor in California.
